Due to the various configuration possibilities of the mini line, the price of the device is determined individually for the customer.
Mini Honey Extracting Line
Finally, a solution has appeared on the market for those beekeepers who already produce quite a significant amount of honey but combine working with bees with other professional activities. It may also be of interest to those who would like to spend as much time as possible with their winged pupils, and who do not enjoy the work of honey extracting in the room as much. Now that may change. Konigin offers its customers a mini honey extracting line.
What does the mini line consist of?
In fact, the final composition of this set of devices is largely dictated by what solutions the beekeeper already has or will have in the future. Generally, however, the semi-automatic uncapping machine is responsible for uncapping the frames. It can be equipped with knives of various sizes, optionally heated. This machine is combined with a waxpress with a capacity of 50 kg / h. It separates the wax from the honey from the cappings that fall into it after the uncapping blades open the cells. Frames prepared for honey extraction are hung on the drip tray. There they wait to be transferred to the honey extractor. Honey from both the waxpress and the drip tray is directed to the honey sump. The honey from the extractor is also collected in the honey sump. A pump with a honey level sensor can be connected to sump, which will pump the cleaned product into any container on the beekeeper's equipment.
What if I already have a honey extractor and uncapper?
It's great! Thanks to this, the purchase of other elements of the mini line will involve lower investment costs than the purchase of the entire set, although this is also possible, of course. After ordering the mini-line, new semi uncapping machines are factory-integrated with waxpress, while those already operating in apiaries require a delicate modification. In the context of the honey extractors used, there is almost complete freedom. It may be a radial or a cassette ones. It is only important that it is a solution with a processing capacity similar to the uncapping machine. In this way, the mini-line will work harmoniously and at close to optimal speed. Therefore, the valuation of a set of devices depends on several factors and is always carried out individually.
How fast will the honey harvesting go?
In the basic configuration, where the line includes a semi-automatic uncapper and one of the larger Konigin honey extractors, 10-12 bodies can be emptied within one hour of operation. However, this is the starting capacity, and there is room for improvement. The easiest method is to equip the set with a second honey extractor. In this configuration, a second operator will also be useful. In this case, one person is only responsible for uncapping the frames and directing them to the drip tray. A second person delivers the bodies with full frames and re-packs the emptied frames into them, loads and unloads both honey extractors. The cassette ones, with warm honey (except heather honey) and a preheated workshop (min. 25 ° C), achieve high efficiency of emptying the cells with honey already on 3-minute programs. Under the same conditions, radial honey extractors require approx. 10-20 minutes for a good honey extraction. However, they have much more capacious baskets, so the loads are larger and the work speed is similar. Thanks to such modifications, the hourly capacity of the mini line can increase by up to 50%.
Basic parameters
The basic set is very compact. It will fit in most workshops. Only 230V is needed to power it. Optionally, you can decide to buy a pump powered by 400V. In such a situation, however, it should be remembered to install the installation supplying three-phase electricity to the room in which the honey harvesting work takes place. The mini honey extracting line is an ideal solution for beekeepers who have 20-100 production families.
