Mechanical uncapping of the honey combs - saving time and work effrot.
Honey harvesting is the highlight of the season. It is a reward for the effort put into running the apiary. Most of the honey in Poland is obtained at the turn of spring and summer. The May and June fruits usually decide about the success of the season. These are the months when the development of bee colonies is very dynamic, and this, in turn, requires greater commitment and care on the part of the beekeeper. Equipping a beekeeping studio with a semi-automatic honeycomb uncapping machine significantly shortens the working time associated with honey re-harvesting and allows you to direct your attention and efforts to those areas of farm management where they are more needed.
A solution with great opportunities
The semi-automatic uncapper is a variant designed for beekeepers who value reliable and effective solutions. It is characterized by significant efficiency, several times higher than that achieved by even a skilled person using a traditional fork. The device, thanks to the possibility of full and smooth adjustment, is compatible with all the main types of frames used in Poland. They can also be adapted to variants with non-standard parameters. Importantly, the degree of damage to the slices that occurs when using a traditional fork is incomparably greater than in the case of slat blades. As a result, after the mechanically uncapped combs are returned to the production families, they are quickly filled with honey again.
Freedom of configuration
The semi-automatic uncapping machine can operate in various configurations. Its aggregation in a capping extruder with a capacity of 50 kg / ha gives a lot of possibilities. Such a set guarantees the collection of almost 100% honey from the combs delivered to the studio. The blades of the device can be adjusted to more aggressively enter the slices. Thanks to this, they will open all cells precisely. The capping press, on the other hand, will automatically separate the honey from the wax without the beekeeper. This process can also be achieved by using a separator. It is a separate device that first centrifuges the honey from cappings and then melts the wax. Both products obtained from it are of the highest quality. Some beekeepers decide to use both solutions, although each of the above-mentioned methods of recovering honey from cappings is very good and can only be used. The next choice is to heat the uncapper blades. It can be purchased in a version without heating, which is a more economical option. However, due to the better quality of work, it is better to purchase a device with heated knives. Water circulating in a closed circuit is a factor ensuring their proper temperature. The blades heat up to approx. 70 ° C, which makes the cutting of the cap smooth and trouble-free. The extractor can also be optionally equipped with a track for combs with a honey drip tray. Thanks to this, it is possible to conveniently prepare a supply of slices for quick loading of the honey extractor.
